For those who enjoy camping Port Browning offers private campgrounds while Gulf Island National Park Reserve offers public campgrounds including back country sites. Frontcountry Camping

  • Prior Centennial Campground. Located on North Pender Island, off Canal Road. 17 drive-in campsites set in a shady spot, fire pits, picnic tables, pit toilets and drinking water. No electricity.

Backcountry Camping

Tent pad, platform or open field, pit or composting toilets, picnic tables (except James Bay site), beach access and hiking trails. No garbage service. Pack out what you take in.

  • D'Arcy Island. Marine access only to 7 wilderness campsites. No potable water.
  • Isle-De-Lis (Rum Island). Marine access to 3 campsites' pit toilets. No drinking water. This island is connected to Gooch Island which is private property so please no trespassing.
