	Pamper yourself in a luxurious two-day or extended visit at our charming two-bedroom covered log home which has been lovingly restored to its former glory.  Bonanza House features: Beautiful woodwork Comfortable wrought iron beds that have been in the family for more than 120 years. Claw-foot tub with golden feet and a pedestal sink. Great Uncle Roy's Morris chair and Grandma's china..
The Morris chair is the first original reclining chair and was purchased by my Great Uncle Roy Chivers.

Our log home was built in an early mining town called Bonanza around 1880 and later hauled into the town site of Challis and is located in the older, quieter part of town at the intersection of 10th and Butte Street.

The distinctive fir logs on interior walls are massive and show the hand hewn adz marks of a professional craftsman.   Everything from curtains to the tub has been carefully kept historically correct.  There also is the original carriage house out back.  Though our bed and breakfast has the look and feel of a period home, you will find it to be snug and warm and your comfort is further assured with all new plumbing, drain lines, wiring and heating.
