Yaquina Head Lighthouse at the tip of the Yaquina Head Outstanding Natural Area is the tallest beacon on the Oregon Coast standing at 93 feet. The lighthouse is still active with it's original Fresnel lens and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. GPS: 44,40.46 N; 124,4.55 W.

Farmers Market

The Farmers Market operates outdoors from May to October from 9:00am to 1:00pm every Saturday on the south lawn of City Hall located at the intersection of Highway 101 and Angle Street. In the winter and spring, the market is indoors at the Lincoln County Fairgrounds Exhibit Hall on 3rd Street.

Located at the tip of the Yaquina Head Oustanding Natural Area stands the Yaquina Lighthouse, the tallest beacon of Oregon standing at 93 feet tall. Since August 20, 1873, Yaquina Lighthouse has been guiding ships and is still active.

The historical society runs two museums; Burrows House, a Queen Anne Victorian house rich in history located at 545 SW 9th Street and Pacific Maritime & Heritage Center with an interactive center located at 333 SE Bay Boulevard. The Log Cabin Research Library contains thousands of photographs, documents, maps, and records for this region and is located adjacent to the Burrows House.

Mariner Square is home to 3 unique attractions you won't want to miss. Oregon Undersea Gardens takes you down into the submarine world foot the largest collection of local marine life and the unique underwater theater. Ripley's Believe It or Not! lets you explore the strange and unusual wonders of the world. The Wax Works features hundreds of detailed sculptures.

Take a stroll on the walkway at Beverly Beach that goes under the highway then extends the beach from Yaquina Head where you can view the lighthouse to the headlands of Otter Rock.

Boiler Bay offers an amazing panoramic viewpoint where you can see grey whales all year, spot many types of birds and watch the surf. At low tide the boiler of the J. Marhoffer Steamboat, sunk by an explosion on May 18, 1910, can be seen.

The punch bowl is a hollow rock formation shaped like a giant punch bowl. This is a popular spot for whale watching and studying the geology. Explore the tidepools and have a picnic at a place stop the rocky shoreline.

Seal Rock is a day use park open year round. Large off shore rock formations are home to seals, sea lions, marine birds and other marine life. ADA accessible picnic areas, wildlife viewing areas and restrooms are available.

Located next to the Yaquina Bay Bridge, South Beach State Park offers a wide array of outdoor recreational activities including an equestrian trail that leads to the beach. There are interpretive programs, JR Ranger activities, a playground, horseshoe pits and you can stop by the Hospitality Center for a self-lead native plant hike brochure.

Historic Nye Beach
Since the late 1800's, Nye Beach has been a popular vacation spot on the Oregon Coast. Located in the central district of Newport, scenic Nye Beach attracts artists, photographers, surfers, sail-boarders, crabbers, clam diggers and kite flyers.

Otter Crest offers a viewpoint 500 feet from above the ocean. Enjoy the stunning scenery of the Pacific Ocean, Devil's Punchbowl and Cape Foulweather along with whale watching.
