We offer sailplane rides
over the Columbia River Gorge and Hood River Valley featuring amazing
views of snow-capped peaks from
 Mt.
Rainer to the north to the Three Sisters to the south. Not to be
confused with hang gliding, sailplanes are large, sleek, motor-less
aircraft. We soar through the air at speeds from as low as 40mph, to as
high as 150mph! The glider, or sailplane, is towed aloft by a powerful
Piper Pawnee. Your glider pilot is FAA certified, and commercially
rated, with many years of experience. Rides are a great gift for an
upcoming birthday or special event.

The Gorge
Games
The annual Outdoor World Championships are held in July in and around
Hood River. The week-long sports and music festival features competitions in 11 outdoor
sports, live outdoor concerts, a kids program and clinics taught by the pros.
