Accommodations
List
with Go Northwest!
Convenience and
character are the two qualities that define accommodations in
Seattle,
which range from historic hotels in relaxed
Queen Anne, to trendy
locations in the University District. Whether you are seeking amenities
close to downtown
attractions or a room in the
airport area for that overnight
business stopover, accommodations are almost as easy to find in Seattle
as things to do. Many of the city’s upscale hotels and inns are located
in restored historic buildings and careful attention has been taken to
capture the personality and ambiance of the area. Well-appointed
furnishings, boutique-style settings and attractive vistas are hallmarks
of Seattle hotels and inns.
Seattle’s picturesque
University District with its quaint settings and Lake Union proximity
has long been a favorite location for business travelers and vacationers
alike. The U District is known for its wide selection of restaurants and
espresso bars and is an easy drive (or bus ride) to downtown attractions
and kayaking locations.
Downtown offers a variety of accommodations from budget
motels to bed and breakfast inns. Some accommodations in the Queen Anne
area offer panoramic views of the Space Needle, downtown and surrounding
areas. North
Seattle has the advantage of being close to the University of
Washington, Shoreline and North Seattle’s growing business area. It’s
also within easy access of I-5, for northbound commuters heading to
Bellingham and Vancouver, British Columbia. Accommodations range from
state-of-the-art executive hotels with conference facilities to historic
boutique inns designed for vacation stays.
The Airport District,
while located outside of Seattle’s centralized area, is often convenient
for business and short-stay travelers. Many hotels cater to conference
attendees, as well as southbound drivers en route to
Portland,
California and other locations.
