Art on the Avenue
A year-long outdoor sculpture
exhibit in which artists
agree to loan their works to the event organizers for a year. At the
end of the year, the sculptures not sold are removed and then replaced by
the next year's exhibit.

Apple
Blossom Festival
Washington's oldest major festival, dating from 1919, is held annual from
the last weekend in April through the first weekend in May.
The 12-day festival includes a carnival, food fair, entertainment, youth
parade, grand parade, golf tournament, arts & crafts fair, pre-parade
show, a youth day and a Mariachi Festival.
The
Ridge to River Relay Race
This six-leg relay race, Washington State's largest multi-sport event,
covers a 35-mile course beginning at the summit of Mission Ridge and
finishing at Riverfront Park on the banks of the Columbia River. The
race accommodates more than 2,000 athletes and involves cross country
skiing, downhill skiing/snowboarding, running, biking, kayak/canoeing and
portage. The race is a fund raiser for 35 local non-profit
groups.

Nine acres of wildflowers and rockeries built on a bluff overlooking the Columbia River
and surrounding country.
