Festivals and Events

Spokane hosts spectacular festivals throughout the year. The most popular events are Hoopfest, the largest 3-on-3 basket ball tournament and Bloomsday, the fun-run through downtown and Riverfront Park. Find descriptions and information on the various festivals and event  in Spokane.

Well over 100 art vendors participate in this three-day ArtFest happening the weekend after Memorial Day. Enjoy the fine art, live music and much more.

Originating in May 1977, Bloomsday has become an increasingly popular race. Ten of thousands of runners participate by running, walking or a little of both through downtown and Riverfront Park. Many dress up in zany costumes to add to the delight of many.

Chinese Lantern Festival
Held in Riverfront, this 5 week event celebrates Chinese culture featuring massive lanterns, performances, historic displays and culinary delights.

February and March host the annual Northwest Bach Festival held at various landmarks. Beautiful Manito Park hold the July outdoor concerts called Mozart On A Summer's Eve. These concerts are free to the public and offer outreach and educational activities.

Celebrate the new year at the biggest party held in downtown Spokane. Watch the spectacular firework display, listen and dance to live music, create your own crafts and much more.

Hoopfest is the largest 3-on-3 basketball tournament. On the last weekend in June, thousands of teams participates in this fun event for all ages and abilities on the streets in downtown Spokane.

Be entertained with the vocal, dance and instrumental performances. Admission is free for the public to see one or more of the 1,000 performances by young adults. See the website for more information.

Pig Out In The Park
Pig Out in the Parks begins on the Wednesday before Memorial Day and runs through Memorial Day Weekend downtown in Riverfront Park. Sample the delicious food from over 40 vendors or enjoy one of the many free music concerts on 3 different stages including the popular band Too Slim & The Traildraggers.

Held in May, this parade focuses on honoring our military, recognizing our youth and community.
