Northwest Washington: Gateway to San Juan Islands, North Cascades and CanadaVisitors to Northwest Washington will find opportunity galore for recreation, relaxation and site seeing in the several communities and recreational areas of Skagit and Whatcom counties. The region also encompasses Fidalgo Island and extends west from the foothills of the Cascade Mountains to northern Puget Sound.
