Silverdale's rapid growth was
spurred in part by the Navy's decision to build a base for Trident nuclear
submarines at Bangor, just minutes north of Silverdale. Local attractions
include Kitsap Mall and the marina and Waterfront Park, along Dyes Inlet.
The local favorite is the scenic Clear Creek Trail, which winds through
Silverdale's urban areas.
