Moran State Park. Located five miles south of Eastsound at 3572 Olga Road, Olga, WA 98279.
Opened in 1921, Moran Park features amazing views of the surrounding islands, the Cascade Mountains and a variety of Canadian and American cities from a stone observation tower atop the highest point on the San Juan Islands, Mt. Constitution at 2,409 feet. (See photo above). Enjoy waterfalls, an old growth forest, five lakes and more than 30 miles of trails, most of which were constructed by the Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC) during the 1930s. Also available is a short, self-guided interpretive trail located near the kitchen shelter.
