Washington State Parks
Only about half of the state parks take campsite reservations, the rest are on a first come, first served basis.  You can make a reservation up to 11 months in advance, the best time to call being September through April when the phone lines are mostly clear.  (A Washington State Parks and Recreation Commission web site.)
