Description

Polson leads a water-based lifestyle on the Flathead Lake and River.  Every summer, Polson hosts the state's biggest fiddling contest.  Impromptu concerts can be heard around the town as contestants, age 6 to 90, tune up for the main event in the middle-school gymnasium.

History

In the 1840s, Polson was the first settlement on Flathead Lake.
