Festival of Nations started out in 2006 as collaboration between the local tribes and the community of Cascade Locks to celebrate their communities and the rich heritage of the beautiful Columbia Gorge. Included in the highlights of the event are the 10k/1 Mile Fun Run Salmon Run, a diverse array of performers, children's craft activities and more.

Fundraiser event that was created to protect the future of the PCT, generate trail awareness, encourage PCTA membership, and serve as a recreational outing for outdoor enthusiasts. Activities include outdoor gear demonstrations, a great gear raffle, lots of free goodies, music, an outdoor photography slide show, and a screening of a PCT documentary.

The Park welcomes thousands of visitors every year for sailing, fishing, camping, a ride on the Columbia Gorge Sternwheeler, outdoor and indoor concerts, Movie in the Park nights, weddings or events on Thunder Island, or just a picnic. The Park is the perfect day-use place to enjoy the breathtaking views of the Columbia River Gorge.
