The Sauk River is located in the
North Cascades just outside of
Darrington, about
an hour and a half north of Seattle.
This river is federally protected as a Wild & Scenic River, preserving its
beauty. Incredible mountain views add to the trill of class 3 to 4
whitewater. On this trip rafter encounter challenging rapids with names
like Jaws, Whirlpool, and Popeye for main part of the trip, followed by a
calmer section at the end that gives plenty of time to really enjoy the
scenery.
