Activities

Located in the beautiful Skagit Valley, La Conner hosts a wide array of activities and outdoor recreation all year long including the infamous Skagit Valley Tulip Festival. Various events are held nearly every weekend. Find what to do in La Conner.

Customized bike tours enabling you to view open fields, tour a display garden and eat at a local garden cafe for a unique perspective of the festival. Rentals and self guided maps are also available during the tulip festival.

Birding

Cascade Loop of the Great Washington Birding Trail
This loop takes you along the inland coastal waters of the Pacific Ocean where you can view shorebirds. Then the trail turns east through conifer forests and over the passes of the Cascade Mountains. Expect to see Bald Eagles, Snow Geese, Trumpeter and Tundra Swans.

Art's Alive hosts an artists reception where you can meet the artists, see merchant exhibits and enjoy live music, wine and hors d'oeuvres.

La Conner Classic Boat and Car Show
Held every August, the Classic Boat and Car Show is something the whole family can enjoy. Check out classic cars, motorcycles, boats and yachts. There are a variety of vendor and exhibitor booths.

La Conner Daffodil Festival
View the fields of bright, cheery daffodils in March. Check out the Daffodil Bloom Map, updated daily, that shows which fields are blooming. There are different events throughout town during the festival.

Sculpture Show
Art sculptures are exhibited on a walking tour throughout La Conner.

Held in May, the Skagit River Poetry Festival features readings, workshops and conversations.

Held the entire month of April, this renown festival (for over 30 years) proudly showcases the millions of beautiful tulips. This festival is designed as a driving tour as the fields of tulips are scattered throughout the scenic Skagit Valley. There are many activities and events during the festival.

Outdoor Recreation

Located on the shoreline of Padilla Bay, Bay View has an Interpretive Center and provides views of the San Juan Islands.

Deception Pass offers amazing views, old growth forests, abundant wildlife, three lakes for water activities plus saltwater and freshwater shorelines.

Coves, tidelands, two freshwater lakes along with hiking and biking trails makes Larabee a popular park.
