Tukwila, population 17,000, enjoys a retailing geographical advantage few other communities can match. The city retail hub is located at the northern end of a broad, flat valley served by heavily traveled Interstate Highways, local freeways and busy arterials all coming together, intersecting and moving beyond.

Tukwila is less then 10 minutes from the Seattle-Tacoma International Airport, which handles more than 14,000 visitors per day, and no more than 20 to 30 minutes from such major metropolitan cities as Seattle, Tacoma and Bellevue.  Also, the city is served by Washington State's two busiest highways: Interstate 5, Interstate 405.

This enviable location has made shopping King and the community features major shopping centers and malls within its boundaries including the Westfield Shoppingtown Southcenter and the Parkway Super Center on Southcenter Parkway.  Additionally, a seemingly endless array of giant retail establishments and industrial parks spreads miles southward toward the view of snow-capped Mount Rainer in the distance.  Many hotels, fine restaurants, movie theaters and top name merchandisers also complement the shopping experience.  Thus, the city is a natural for travelers wanting a base from which to explore Seattle, the Cascade Mountains, Mount Rainier and Puget Sound.
