July. Annual fireworks display.
Bite of
Seattle
Held at Seattle Center, downtown. A food carnival, aimed at bringing together the
variety of Seattle's culinary offerings.
Bumbershoot, September*
This Seattle Arts Festival takes place at Seattle Center over Labor Day
weekend. The multi-arts extravaganza features live music, dance, theater, film, visual
arts, comedy, literary arts, kids performance, street performance, Art Market,
International Bazaar and Taste of Seattle.

Bookfest
This free family event brings more than 250 nationally and regionally acclaimed writers to
Seattle to participate in more than 90 different literary programs. Presentations and
workshops; more than 200 bookstore, publisher and book-related booths; meet your favorite
authors.

Folklife Festival, May
Celebrates the traditional arts in North America. Four days of world music and dance
performances from over100 countries, folklore exhibits, music workshops, crafts, and food.
An audience of nearly 200,000 attends the 1000 performances as held at the Seattle
Center.

Five acres of gardens created inside the Convention Center.

Seattle's and the Puget Sound's annual premier community celebration dating from 1950.
This month-long celebration of summer features parades, art festivals, music
festivals, fun runs, and more. Main events include the Torchlight Parade, the U.S.
Navy Blue Angels air show, and the Seafair Unlimited Hydroplane Race.

Summer Nights at the Pier, sponsored by AT&T, offers a concert series featuring 20

workshops spread out over 15 acres of Marymoor Park in Redmond,
