As its name suggests, this community is just east of Glacier National Park, just outside the southeast corner of the park and on the Blackfeet Indian Reservation 55 miles east of West Glacier on US Highway 2 and 44 miles south of St. Mary via Browning and US Highway 89.

Main routes in are US Highway 2. Closest Interstate is I-90 to the south.

Glacier Park International Airport near
Kalispell. Services include Big Sky Airlines, Delta Airlines, Horizon
Airlines, Northwest Airlines and Holman Aviation (private charters).
Rail
The daily Amtrak passenger service the
Empire Builder runs between Seattle/Portland and Chicago. A depot is
located in East Glacier Park.
