Arch Cape, Oregon is a small residential community sandwiched between several Oregon state parks at the northern tip of the Oregon Coast. What keeps people coming back to Arch Cape is the exquisite beauty of its coastal surroundings and its relaxed semi-remote atmosphere.
Situated approximately four miles south of Cannon Beach, Arch Cape has all the benefits of convenience as well as the secluded nature of a coastal retreat. There are several types of accommodation in town, ranging from an inn to vacation rentals. All are equipped with kitchens for those visitors who enjoy relaxing within steps of the North Coast's pristine coastline.
For those who enjoy dining out, Cannon Beach as well as Manzanita, a few minutes south of the Cape, offer a tasteful selection of restaurants and shops to enjoy.
Hikers have a plethora of trails and parks to explore within minutes of Arch Cape. The Oregon Coast Trail skirts next to Arch Cape and provides an easy means for experiencing Oregon's coastline by foot.
Oswald West State Park, just south of the Cape, is nestled in a small cove that affords idyllic views of the beach and comfortable settings for short hikes. Hug Point State Park, north of the Cape, is a favorite location for learning about Oregon Coast's early history, when residents traveled by stagecoach along the beach trail. Visitors should be mindful of the surf as it is possible to get trapped by incoming surf.
Arch Cape can be easily reached by car from Portland via Highway 26 to Cannon Beach and then south via Highway 101 to Arch Cape.
