Scenic Byway

Pacific Coast Scenic Byway
Beginning in Astoria and traveling south to Brookings, this byway follows the entire scenic coastline along Highway 101. Experience the charming coastal towns, lighthouses and much more on your journey.

State Parks

Arcadia Beach State Recreation Site. Located 3 miles south of Cannon Beach on Highway 101. Toll-free: 1-800-551-6949. GPS: 45.846666 N; -123.961111 W.

A few feet from the beach, Arcadia is a great place to have a picnic with plenty of shade. Enjoy year-round access.

Del Ray Beach State Recreation Site. Located 2 miles north of Gearhart on Highway 101. Toll-free: 1-800-551-6949. GPS: 46.04444444 N; -123.923611 W.

Del Ray offers a great place to fly a kite, build a sandcastle, enjoy a picnic or watch a spectacular sunset.

Ecola State Park. Located 2 miles north of Cannon Beach off Highway 101. Phone: 503-436-2844; Toll-free: 1-800-551-6949. GPS: 45.923055 N; -123.96777 W.

Ecola has much history to offer along with scenic vistas of the Pacific Ocean and wildlife viewing. Spot migrating gray whales during winter and spring. A picnic shelter is available by reservation.

Hug Point State Recreation Site.  Located 5 miles south of Cannon Beach on Highway 101. Toll-free: 1-800-551-6949. GPS: GPS: 45.825325 N; -123.961106 W.

Hug Point offers easy beach access where you can explore the stagecoach trail, view Haystack Rock and the 2 caves around the point. Please be sure to pick up a tide book so you don't become stranded at high tide.

Oswald West State Park. Located 10 miles south of Cannon Beach on Highway 101. Toll-free: 1-800-551-6949. GPS: 45.775274 N; -123.945556 W.

Oswald has a beach nestled in a cove and is surrounded by mountains giving the sense of total privacy.

Tolovana Beach State Park. Located 1 miles south of Cannon Beach on Highway 101. Toll-free: 1-800-551-6949. GPS: 45.873611 N; -123.96111 W.

Tolovana is a beautiful beach with an amazing view of Haystack Rock.
