Elbe is a small town located in the southern Cascades of Washington. The town's name is in honor of the pioneer settler, Henry C. Lutken, who came from the valley of Elbe in Germany.

The two closest visitor centers are located in nearby Ashford, Mount Rainier Visitor Association, and inside Mt. Rainier National Park, Jackson Visitors Center. Both are just under 10 miles away.
