With four state parks nearby as well as Mount Rainier National Park, the outdoor enthusiast can take a hike, bike ride, go rafting, kayaking, swimming or fishing on the Green River or snow ski at Mount Rainier National Park or Crystal Mountain. Black Diamond
Black Diamond is a 2 day festival that includes a Long Course Triathlon
and Endurance Duathlon on Saturday, plus a Half Marathon, Olympic and
Sprint Distance Triathlon on Sunday. All events are at Nolte State Park.

Held at the same time as the Creation Northwest Festival, the Street Fair in downtown Enumclaw offers something for everyone including music venues, food vendors, shopping and pony rides for children.

Enjoy 2 days of the wine tasting by a variety of wineries along with sampling chocolates, music, demonstrations and shopping.

Located 18 miles east of Enumclaw off Highway 410, Federation Forest is a great park for hiking with 12 miles of trails and 3 interpretive trails. Within a one mile radius you can hike through five distinct ecosystems. Short interpretive loops are ideal for children. Other activities include bird and wildlife viewing. Also available are 37 fire circles and an amphitheater.

Located between the cities Auburn and Black Diamond, Flaming Geyser provides trails for hiking and horseback riding including the self-guided, ADA accessible Salmon Interpretive Trail. Other recreational activities include camping, freshwater swimming, fishing and whitewater rafting on the Green River, birding, horseshoe pits, volleyball fields, fire circles along with remote-control model-airplane flying area along with open lawns.

Kanaskat-Palmer offers freshwater swimming, fishing and picnicking along the Green River. River rafting and kayaking down the Green River Gorge should be left to experts. Go hiking on one of the trails or watch the wildlife and birds. Also available are 4 fire circles and 2 horseshoe pits.

Mount Rainier National Park
Mt. Rainier National Park has hundreds of miles of trails for hiking,
boating, fishing and snow activities. Guides are available for climbing
Mt. Rainier.

Located north of Enumclaw at the western edge of the Cascade Mountains, this day use park is covered in forest and offers a freshwater shoreline on Deep Lake in the Green River Gorge. Grassy lawns are available for activities and picnicking. Nolte used to be a resort prior to being donated to Washington State by the Nolte family.
