Washington Trails Association (WTA) describes the hike up Humpback Mountain along with driving directions and other necessary information.

Festivals and Events

Festival at Mount Si
This free festival takes place in August and celebrates the North Bend community with a wide array of events including a firework display, food vendors, arts and craft booths, a chili cook off, cherry pie eating content, live music and much more.

Light at the End of the Tunnel Marathon
This race is held in mid-July on a scenic gravel trail from Snoqualmie Pass to North Bend. The course is a Boston qualifier.

Boulder Garden Loop
Washington Trail Association details this short hike through the forests to the south of Little Si.

A hike up Mount Si
Mt. Si, at an elevation of 4,167 feet, overlooks the town and is a favorite hike generally accessible year round. The four-mile hike to the summit climbs some 3,500 feet and affords spectacular views of Seattle, Mount Rainier and other Cascade peaks.

Once part of the Chicago-Milwaukee-St. Paul-Pacific Railroad, Iron Horse Park offers over 100 miles of hiking and biking trails, featuring the John Wayne Pioneer Trail, that expands from Cedar Falls to the Columbia River. Scenic views of the valley can be seen from the high trestles. Other activities include rock climbing and bird watching. Winter allows snowmobiling, snowshoeing, cross country skiing and dog sledding opportunities.

Mt. Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest has a wide variety of recreational activities. Go skiing at Snoqualmie Pass, fish for trout in the Snoqualmie River, take a scenic hike on one of the many trails, (there are over 100 miles of trails for all levels) or take in the beautiful and scenic Alpine Lakes Wilderness Area. Go camping or take a drive on the Mountains to Sound Greenway.

Open year-round, Olallie is located on the western slopes of the Cascades. There are 6 miles of hiking trails where you can view the scenic waterfalls, Weeks Falls and Twin Falls which are connected by an 80 foot bridge. A rock climbing area is adjacent to the park. Other activities include freshwater fishing, mountain biking, bird watching, access to Iron Horse Trail and an interpretive trail with signs depicting information about the Snoqualmie Wagon Road at the South Fork Picnic Area.
