The small city, Airway Heights, is located in Eastern Washington just six miles west of Spokane. This rapidly growing city is home to Fairchild Air Force Base.
For those who love auto racing, one of the largest racetracks in the Inland Northwest, Spokane County Raceway is the place to go to see oval track racing, drag racing and road course racing.
Looking for some outdoor recreational activities? You can hike or bicycle the Columbia Plateau Trail State Park, a 130-mile-long rail-bed trail that traces the 1908 original path of the Spokane, Portland and Seattle Railroad.
The college town Cheney is close by as is Spokane, the second largest city in Washington where the traveler can experience more of what the beautiful Inland Northwest has to offer.
