Olympic National Park
Spanning nearly one million acres, Olympic National Park offers diverse
landscape settings ranging from Pacific Ocean beaches to rain forest
valleys to glacier-capped peaks. Roads provide access to the outer edges
of the park. Explore the viewing points, walk in the woods or watch
wildlife. Stop by the visitor's center to plan your trip to the park.
Jarrell Cove State Park. Located on the northwest side of Harstine Island in South Puget Sound at 391 E. Wingert Road, Shelton, WA 98584. Phone: 360-426-9226; Reservations: 1-888-226-7688.
Off the beaten path, Jarrell Cove is accessed by road and bridge although most arrive by boat. This park manages five satellite parks: Eagle Island, Harstine Island, Hope Island, McMicken Island and Stretch Point. Enjoy this forested island park that has a saltwater shoreline.

Located 3 miles south of Hoodsport on Highway 101, Potlatch features a saltwater shoreline on Hood Canal offering scenic views and has ideal weather for kite flying and windsurfing. Interpretive programs are also available. Scuba diving and kayaking are popular activities at this park.

Located on the south shore of Hood Canal, Twanoh State Park is one of the warmest beaches found in Washington.
