Quilcene, located on the Olympic Peninsula along the Hood Canal, is a small community of approximately 600 people. There is much to see and do with the nearby Olympic National Forest along with the Big and Little Quilcene Rivers flowing through town.

This classic music festival takes place inside a beautiful turn-of-the-century dairy barn on 55 acres of scenic farmland. Bring a picnic and enjoy the music of world renowned musicians.

Outdoor Recreation

Open year-round, Dosewallips offers both freshwater and saltwater activities including swimming, boating and fishing. Clamming, crabbing and oyster harvesting are also available. Freshwater activities are found nearby on the banks of the Dosewallips River, and saltwater activities are found on Hood Canal. Hiking trails, horseshoe pits and interpretive activities are some of the other features of this park. The camp areas are grassy and located in rustic settings. Enjoy breath-taking views of Hood Canal and the Olympic Mountains and the wildlife viewing platform.

Located 2 miles south of Brinnon off Highway 101, Pleasant Harbor (an overnight moorage facility only) offers 120 feet of moorage dock on a first-come, first-served basis. Boaters can stay up to three consecutive nights. Activities include fishing. rafting, boating and scuba diving.

Hike the Big Quilcene Trail, discover the scenic waterfalls, drive or hike to the summit of Mt. Walker, camp along the Duckabush River or on the Hood Canal, go fishing (saltwater at Hood Canal, river, stream, lake and ponds), OHV Trail Riding and camping.
