Historical Sites

Sitting on the crest of a small hill, this civil war-era house was constructed in 1859 and is the oldest home in Lacey. This house features park-like grounds and an amazing view of Mt. Rainier.

Lacey Greenway is an undeveloped park on the north side of Lacey consisting of over 400 acres of woodlands and wildlife habitats.

Lake Lois Park / Lake Lois Habitat Reserve. 6020 7th Avenue SE, Lacey, WA 98503.

Walk on theĽ-mile interpretive nature trail or the paths around this small, scenic lake in this 35 acre natural habitat park. A picnic table and drinking water are available.

McAllister Community Park. 8700 block of Marvin Road SE, Lacey, WA 98503.

This is a future community park made of 60, undeveloped acres located at the intersection of Marvin Road and 19th Avenue SE. A large stand of native oak trees and the Little McAllister Creek are featured here.

Meridian Campus Park North. 4200 block of Campus Highlands Drive NE, Lacey, WA 98503.

Meridian Campus is a 5-acre undeveloped neighborhood park situated near the Hawks Prairie Golf Club.

Mullen Road Habitat Reserve. 6700 block of Mullen Road SE, Lacey, WA 98503.

Mullen Road Habitat Reserve is a 32-acre natural area along a small creek connecting Hicks Lake to Pattison Lake.

Pleasant Glade Park. 5000 block of Pleasant Glade Road NE, Lacey, WA 98503.

Pleasant Glade is a 32-acre undeveloped park site featuring a small pond and 2,000 feet of Woodland Creek frontage.

Tolmie park is forested and has 1,800 feet of saltwater shoreline on the Puget Sound. Located on Nisqually beach, this park offers beachside activities and an underwater park that contains an artificial reef.

Wildlife

Specifically created for migratory birds, the Nisqually Refuge consists of 3,000 acres of salt and freshwater marshes, grasslands and mixed forest habitats. Visit the Visitor Center which includes The Nature Shop, information desk, view of the freshwater marsh and interpretive exhibits.
