Golden Gardens provides stunning views of the Puget Sound and the Olympic Mountains, a short loop trail, hikes through forest trails and along the rugged coastline, 2 wetlands, fishing from a pier, sandy beaches and an off-leash dog park.

The Lake Washington Ship Canal connects Lake Washington to the Puget Sound. The passage is made possible via the
locks, built in 1911 and operated by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.
