Fairmont Hot Springs is located in beautiful Southwest Montana, part of Montana's Gold West Country. It's a big sky landscape of broad open valleys ringed by snow-capped mountains, featuring some of Montana's finest trout fishing and a mother-lode of history. Southwest Montana is conveniently located between Glacier National Park and Yellowstone National Park, making it a great place to stop and experience what life in Montana was, is and will be.

This part of the state is full of wonder and packed with everything that comes to mind when folks dream of Montana: ghost towns, unspoiled wilderness, spectacular views, big ranches, trout-filled rivers and a slow-paced, genuine Montana way of life. You can experience Montana history and hospitality in the area cities and towns of Butte, Anaconda, Philipsburg, Deer Lodge and Dillon.

Long before the white man knew about the hot springs, Native American tribes such as the Flathead, Nez Perce and Shoshone set up tepees in the surrounding trees. The Native Americans called the twelve hot pools "Medicine Waters".

In 1869 the Gregson brothers purchased the hot springs and soon built a hotel and plunge pool. Since then, there have been several establishments offering lodging and hot springs pool access to Montanans, Americans, and guests from around the globe.

Today's Fairmont Hot Springs Resort is a complete resort destination
offering an exhilarating and relaxing experience, along with the same
Montana friendly hospitality of its predecessors and has become one of finest resort facilities in Montana.
