Louis Lake
Take a moderately strenuous, eleven mile hike around Louis Lake. The trailhead elevation is 3,600 feet topping out at 5,360 feet. This is an out-and-back trail best enjoyed mid-June the mid-October.

Water Activities

Methow River
Named after the Methow Native Americans, the Methow River is characterized with beautiful scenery and crystal clear water. Home to some of the largest Rainbow and Cutthroat Trout makes this river ideal for fishing. In the late summer to early fall you can fish for steelhead.

Twisp River
At 26 miles long, the Twisp River originates in the North Cascades and flows into the Methow River in Twisp, Washington. The Twisp River's name comes from an Indian word that means yellowjacket or wasp. The fisherman will be able to catch smallmouth bass, largemouth bass and rainbow trout. Trails along the river provide opportunities for hiking, biking and horseback riding.
