Jacksonville, Oregon

In 1966 Jacksonville, the original county seat of Jackson County, was designated as a national historic landmark due the fact that it was a complete example of a 19th century inland commercial and mining community. The entire town is a National Historic District. With original brick buildings from the 1850's Jacksonville displays the original architecture of the old west and boasts more than 80 buildings on the National Register of Historic Places.

For outdoor enthusiasts, Jacksonville is an easy gateway to Crater Lake National Park and Siskiyou National Forest.
