Northwest Wyoming

Northwest Wyoming is a tourist haven abounding in National Parks and Recreation areas including Yellowstone National Park, Grand Teton National Park, Shoshone National Forest, Jackson Hole, the Bighorn Canyon National Recreational Area, Wind River Canyon, the Wind River Indian Reservation, and many more enriching destinations.

Yellowstone National Park, the first of America's National Parks, showcases a variety of wildlife, including grizzly bears, wolves, bison, and elk. The Park also contains the world's most impressive collection of geysers and hot springs, including Old Faithful. Include Fort Yellowstone in your visit and learn all about the park's history. The park allows its visitors to enjoy a variety of outdoor activities, including hiking, camping, fishing, and Ranger-led programs.

Wyoming has a lot of archeological and paleontological hot spots. The Wyoming Dinosaur Center in Thermopolis is known for having some of the largest dinosaur fossils quarries in the world. You can join paleo-technicians and dig to uncover Jurassic dinosaurs and if you'd rather just look at what's already been found; there are 23 full-size mounted skeletons, 18 of which are dinosaurs. Hyattville also has the Medicine Lodge State Archaeological Site where you can check out pictographs and petroglyphs in the visitor center and camp out on-site. The dig site has been used for 10,000 years.
