Kitsap County Fair and Rodeo
(Kitsap County Fairgrounds). One of the county's most popular events, held at Kitsap County Fairgrounds, the fair offers just about everything one would expect. Along with usual arts and crafts displays, fairgoers can experience a rodeo, a carnival and herds of 4-H Club animals with their young handlers. Top professional cowboys can be seen at the PRCA rodeo where they add to the thrills by their abilities in the arts of bareback bronc riding, steer wrestling and roping and barrel racing. Blackberry Festival
Downtown Bremerton's annual Blackberry Festival on the waterfront boardwalk will include ethnic food booths, arts and crafts, live entertainment and of course, plenty of blackberry goodies. Information: 360-377-3041.

Bremerton Art Walk

Gig Harbor Quilt Festival
The quilts are displayed in various locations throughout the summer and the complete exhibit at the Civic Center, 3510 Grandview Street, Gig Harbor, WA 98335. Phone: 253-851-8136.

OysterFest
The Mason County Fairgrounds host the annual Washington State Seafood Festival and West Coast Oystershucking Championship as well as a juried art and photography show, live touch tank, entertainment and seafood cooked 101 ways.

Port Gamble Car Show
Poulsbo Classic Yacht Rendezvous. The historic Poulsbo waterfront is the ideal setting for this gathering of beautiful classic yachts hosted by the Classic Yacht Association.  Relive the days of elegant yachting while touring these classic beauties from around the Puget Sound region. Enter your vote Saturday for the People's Choice Award and don't miss the waterfront parade of boats on Sunday. Information: 360-779-4848.

Kitsap Color Classic
(Kingston-Hansville-Indianola-Port Gamble). Autumn has arrived. The morning air is crisp and the leaves are turning shades of gold and scarlet. Some of you are thinking of calling it a bicycling season and staring at the tube until next spring. NO WAY! On Sunday, October 6, Cascade Bicycle Club presents the 28th Annual Kitsap Color Classic, our season finale. Pedal along gorgeous Kitsap Peninsula and check out our three loops through some of the best riding country in the State! Friendly communities and terrific fall scenery make this a fun, must do event.
