Scenic Byway

Pacific Coast Scenic Byway
Beginning in Astoria and traveling south to Brookings, this byway follows the entire scenic coastline along Highway 101. Experience the stunning scenery of the Pacific Ocean while discovering the charming coastal towns, lighthouses, aquariums, museums and other points of interest on your journey. Allow 10 to 12 hours driving time for the 363 mile (584.2km) scenic tour.

Nehalem Bay State Park. Located off Highway 101, 3 miles south of Manzanita Junction at 9500 Sandpiper Lane, Nehalem, OR, 97131. Phone: 503-368-5154; Toll-free: 1-800-551-6949. GPS: 45.70948; -123.936526.

Nehalem Bay Park is situated between the bay and the ocean on a 4 mile long sand spot. Walk over the sand dunes for your beach activities such as beach combing where you may find shells and agates. Take in the stunning view of the bay via the bike path. This is a pet friendly facility.

Oswald West State Park. Located off Highway 101, 10 miles south of Cannon Beach. Phone: 503-368-3575; Toll-free: 1-800-551-6949. GPS: 45.775274; -123.945556.

Oswald has a secluded sandy beach and miles of hiking trails including 13 miles of the Oregon Coast Trail. Cape Falcon and Neah-kah-nie Mountain are two headlands offering more hikes with stunning scenery.
