Built in 1895 on top of a bluff overlooking the Swan Mountain Range, this Victorian mansion provides guided tours where you can learn the history or hold a special event such as a wedding. Many events are held at the mansion including special teas, Death by Chocolate, an Ice Cream Social, Ghost Tours and Christmas Tours.

Enjoy listening to Jazz, Blues, Bluegrass and Folk music on 101.9, played from the porch of a family farm house just north of Creston on Route 35. You will notice the Radio Café by the neon "On Air" sign seen from the road.

National Forest

The Flathead has a wide array of recreation activities with 3 wilderness areas, 2 ski areas, mountain ranges, lakes, rivers and streams located in the forest.

National Park

Glacier National Park
The West Entrance of Glacier National Park provides access to the Lake McDonald area, Park Headquarters, the Apgar Visitor Center and is the west entry point to the famed 52-mile Going-to-the-Sun Road which climbs 3,000 feet to provide spectacular views across the Continental Divide from June to October.

State Parks

Lake Mary Ronan State Park. Highway 93 at Dayton, then 7 miles northwest; Mail: 490 North Meridian Kalispell, MT 59901. Phone: 406-849-5082. GPS: 47.927; -114.382.

Located 7 miles west of Flathead Lake, Lake Mary Ronan is popular fishing spot for catching kokanee salmon, cutthroat trout and largemouth bass. Head into the forest to access trails, see the wildflowers and wildlife or to pick huckleberries and mushrooms.

Lone Pine State Park. Located 4 miles southwest of Kalispell on Lone Pine Road; Mail: 490 North Meridian Kalispell, MT 59901. Phone: 406-755-2706. GPS: 48.174; -114.338.

Located 4 miles southwest of Kalispell, Lone Pine has a visitor center that provides information about the park and meeting room with wrap around decks to view the stunning scenery. There is also a gift store with books on the area.

Wayfarers State Park. Located ½ miles south of Bigfork on Montana 35; Mail: 490 North Meridian Kalispell, MT 59901. Phone: 406-752-5501.

Wayfarers is known for viewing gorgeous sunsets as well as stunning scenery of Flathead Lake from atop the rocky cliffs along the shoreline.

West Shore State Park. Located 20 miles south of Kalispell on Highway 93; Mail: 490 North Meridian Kalispell, MT 59901. Phone: 406-752-5501. GPS: 47.952; -114.192.

West Shore is considered to be the most quiet park on Flathead Lake with stunning views of the lakeshore along with the Swan and Mission Mountains.

Whitefish Lake State Park. Located 1 mile west of Whitefish on Highway 93, then 1 mile north; Mail: Whitefish Lake, 490 North Meridian Kalispell, MT 59901. Phone: 406-862-3991. GPS: 48.425; -114.371.

Located on Whitefish Lake, this small park offers a beach and forest. Trains rumble along the edge of the park. Information kiosk, picnic table, fire ring and public phone are also available.

Woodland is a 38 acre park including a rose garden, water park, swimming pool, skate park, walking trails, picnic areas and hockey rink.
